Afghan Square Cat Blanket

Pattern: Afghan Square found at Knitter's Magazine
Yarn: Schoeller Stahl Winter Cotton
Needles: Denise Circs, #8

I've had my eye on this afghan square for a long time, having downloaded the PDF from Knitter's Magazine years ago. In my mind, the photo shown and colors used in the downloaded PDF were a little dated, and the cabling seemed overwhelming. I decided to take this square's challenge and swatched two large squares to make a cat blanket. I really enjoyed this square and found it very easy once I got the hang of it (and fixed the written pattern's mistakes, see below).
